Superior Lexus North is proud to be a participating member of the Driving 4th For Veterans program, developed by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Kansas City! Read on to learn more about this worthy cause and how your desire for a new Lexus can help!
The Automobile Dealers of Kansas City Charitable Foundation will be donating to veteran causes for each new car sold from June 28th through July 4th.
Being a Kansas City new car dealer, Superior Lexus North has a history
of supporting charities and worthy causes. This event allows us, as well
as other new car dealers in the area say thank you to our veterans, and
give back to the community that serves us so well.
The endeavor, called Driving 4th for Veterans, will assist those military veterans who have honorably served their country but may have fallen on tough times after their service has ended. The Charitable Foundation will be making the donation on behalf of the dealer-members to two worthy organizations:
1) Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation: the VFW Foundation has an "Unmet Needs" program which assists veterans who have faced financial difficulties as a result of military service. The assistance may range from helping with mortgage or rent payments, utilities to medical services, food & incidentals, and children's needs. The VFW Foundation will keep all donations in Kansas City, covering the 6-county metro area. 100% of the donation will go towards assistance - none towards administrative expense.www.vfwfoundation.org
2) Heart of America Stand Down: this organization implements two metro events each year. The events, called "Stand Downs" are where homeless veterans can acquire much needed services such as food, clothing, and access to medical and social services. On any given night there are, on average, 2800 homeless veterans in Kansas City. The objective of the Stand Downs is to provide homeless veterans access to short and long term resources to begin rebuilding their lives. Stand Downs offer veterans a hand-up...not a hand-out.www.kcstanddown.org
