Lexus put their Insta-fans in the driver's seat and let them choose style, color, brakes, tires, rims and steering wheel! Lexus added a custom quality exhaust system as well as a suspension upgrade to the already inspiringly unique Lexus. Lexus users picked Vossen wheels and Nitto Invo tires to support the vehicle. When all was said and done, the eye-catching masterpiece was displayed at the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas for all eyes to see!

Innovation in Exterior: Lexus RC Coupe

We are all ready to see the Lexus RC in 2014, but are you ready for the fiery new red exterior? Lexus is employing an entirely new paint process that is redefining the famous shine that every Lexus possesses. The new dynamic red exterior will be enhanced by using a bi-color base of both silver and red. The meticulous process is further augmented by applying the base coat four times and baking it twice. For the red-colored exterior, the process starts with a base-coat of silver, then a clear-coat. The clear coat is then followed with a translucent red-coat, then topped again with another clear coat. The four different coats are baked twice in order to achieve the perfect color.

This process complements the sheen of the vehicle beautifully. When light hits the exterior, it reflects not only off of the red-coat, but the silver beneath it, adding a shine that is unparalleled. Lexus Sales Heat Up

On a retail sales basis, excluding vehicle purchases by businesses, Lexus was the top-selling U.S. luxury brand in the first quarter of 2014

Lexus has been head-to-head in sales with competitors such as Mercedes and BMW. As the year 2014 hits its peak, sales begin to do the same. Lexus has outsold Mercedes in both March and May, leaving Lexus only 12,000 vehicles from outselling BMW. While there is still a great deal of work to do before out-performing BMW in sales, next year could prove to be rather interesting with vehicles such as the RC and the NX in the lineup! The NX includes unique features such as its panoramic glass sun-roof audio-improvement technology that could prove to its advantage when compared to competitors and also help push Lexus over the edge in sales.
