Lexus LF C2 Concept Reveal

The latest of the Lexus LF C2 concept vehicle has been revealed at the LA Auto Show and it is nothing short of an eye-catcher! This concept was designed with light in mind, meaning that it is styled around the way that various surface shapes interact when coming into contact with light. In addition to the complex shape-design of the exterior, the intricate layered paint process further takes advantage of the lights lustrous qualities. The interior of the C2 mirrors the exterior in both quality and luxurious design. It is lined with a center console that originates from the rear exterior and runs down the length of the cabin to the dashboard. The dashboard design presents functional simplicity with an easily managed instrument cluster, a central video monitor controlled by a Remote Touchpad on the center console and a classic analog clock between the central air vents. This concept car is meant to embody the future direction of Lexus engineering. Expect to see more beautifully dynamic rides with the poise and the class of this Lexus LF C2.

A Year with the Lexus IS

Scott Evans of Motor Trend just recently wrapped up a year of driving three different models of the Lexus IS: The IS 250, the IS 350 AWD and the IS 350 F Sport. Evans reported that after putting a grand total of 18, 039 miles on all of the vehicles combined, his end average for each vehicle was shockingly consistent among all three models (roughly around 22 MPG). Evans commented on the top-of-the-line luxurious quality of each vehicle, stating, "All three were crypt-quiet inside and rode nicely despite their sporting pretenses". In addition to having superior reliability, Evans also noted that there was 'zero' cost incurred in service throughout his test drives for each vehicle. Evans commented on the "rich, clear sound of the stereos" and the "top quality" materials on the interior. He took the time to address his impression on the sportiness of the vehicles, stating, "The car is much more responsive than previous models, with sharper turn-in, better handling, and better chassis control." At the conclusion of a year with three different models of the Lexus IS, Evans "confirms expectations" on the car. "They're comfortable, reliable cars that are also sporty in a corner." Evans seems to be convinced of the unmatched quality of the Lexus IS, and for good reason. Lexus will only continue to move forward in its relentless  pursuit of perfection.
